Science fiction seems to be the major expertise of Joss Whedon, who created the shows "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Firefly". He has a new show starting on FOX this Friday, "Dollhouse". Alessandra Stanley wrote the preview for the new show starring Eliza Dushku, a regular in the later seasons of "Buffy", but after reading the preview I feel no more informed about the show than I did before, and I had never heard of it. She compares it to such shows as "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Bewitched" with their theme of "taming paranormal women". Even though I was not wowed by the way in which Stanley wrote of the show, I still feel compelled to watch it. Maybe its so I can actually get a grip on what the show is about.
